Volto! is a 4 piece rock/blues/jazz/jam fusion band which includes Danny Carey from Tool, Lance Morrison from Don Henley, Bill Steinway from Jazz Crusaders, and John Ziegler from Pigmy Love Circus. A mixture of jam rock fusion jazz & blues.
Pete Griffin and Gryphon Labs:
Somewhere in the sonic universe there’s a place where the auditory wizardry of Pink Floyd and Brian Eno intersects with the progressive groove consciousness of Funkadelic and Massive Attack and the experimental, virtuosic extremities of The Mars Volta and Tool. Gryphon Labs begins there, taking those influences and a myriad of others and putting them through an instrumental filter, resulting in an exciting new fusion of rock, electronica, world music, and the improvisatory elements of jazz. Gryphon Labs includes Pete Griffin on bass as well as other members from Zappa Plays Zappa.
